Linked
I can feel, but I cannot find;
This is the flaw of the mind behind the mind.
Loneliness, unstable, shapeshifter,
Floods my sixth sense, feel with my third eye.
Link between us is eternal,
Comforting, inevitable, above all powerful.
Can't see the tears on your face,
But your cry brings pressure long thought dead.
Your need is strong, you stand alone.
All I can do is reach, comfort mind to mind.
Help is the whisper echoing within;
Thoughts can only stretch so far before they break.
How can I help, if I cannot find?
Your image escapes me, your location a mystery.
Rain saturates skin and bone,
Evoking anger, action, fear; a dare, a plea.
My cry returns in an echo of frustration;
Yearn to aid, to stand by your side, to hold you up.
I can feel, but I cannot find;
This is the flaw of the mind behind the mind.
